It’s not just the quantity of housing, Patrick, ALL the developers are building HOUSES in the Churchill, Langford area. Yes, some shared ownership homes are included but yet again the OLDER GENERATION HAVE BEEN IGNORED. To my knowledge, not 1 BUNGALOW has been built or planned. It should be mandatory for all new developments to include a proportion of bungalows suitable for the elderly and/or disabled. People often like to stay in their own villages as they get older among friends and family. Many bungalows have been altered to become houses, depleting the stock. In Langford, the hedgerows have been removed. Apart from the wild life being in difficulties it completely removes the “country” feel and ambience of the area.
