Fighting for a strong NHS in Weston

by patrickkeating on 16 January, 2019

Earlier this week I had the opportunity to

meet management and staff at Weston General Hospital to hear about the work they are doing and their plans for the future.

While there will certainly be lively debate around the upcoming consultation on the future of healthcare provision in Weston and the surrounding villages, following my visit I am certain that we can be proud of our hospital and the dedicated staff who work there.

Liberal Democrat’s are campaigning to ensure our NHS has the resources it needs, and are the only party to propose ring-fencing a penny on the pound of income tax to raise the necessary funds.

We will also be fighting against the government’s restrictive new immigration plans, that would prevent the hospital recruiting badly needed doctors and nurses.

You deserve a strong health service and the LibDems will be demanding better for our NHS.
