Speaking at today’s cross party Save Weston A&E rally, on the 71st Birthday of the NHS, I have called on health bosses to rethink plans to close 24 hour A&E services in the town.

Closing the A&E is not a viable option for a town the size of Weston. We need health bosses to seriously look at alternative options, such as the plan proposed by Weston Hospital’s own consultants.

The LibDems will be keeping up the fight to demand the better NHS services Weston residents deserve.
